Pollok Park Reviews

star rating
Pollok is Glasgows largest park and its extensive woodlands and gardens are great to explore with kids. There are walled gardens and woodland gardens as well as walks by rivers and ponds. There are play park areas that are suitable for both older and younger kids. There are highland cattle and Clydesdale horses kept within the grounds and if you check the website in advance it will give you the dates that the farriers come to put new shoes on the horses - my toddler loved going to the old stable yard to watch them light up the fires and work on the horses and came away with a Clydesdale horseshoe thats now hanging in her room. There are picnic areas, 2 restaurants and baby change facilities as well as the Burrell collection itself. Its a good place to shelter and look round with older kids but not really designed to hold the attention of a toddler.
