Top Tips for Families

Pollok is Glasgow's largest park and its extensive woodlands and gardens are great to explore with kids. There are walled gardens and woodland gardens as well as walks by rivers and ponds. There are play park areas that are suitable for both older and younger kids. There are highland cattle and Clydesdale horses kept within the grounds and it's well worth looking at the website in advance as every few weeks the farriers come to put new shoes on the horses and my toddler loved going to the old stable yard to watch them work on the horses. There are picnic areas, 2 restaurants and baby change facilities as well as the Burrell collection itself. It's a good place to shelter and look round with older kids but not really designed to hold the attention of a toddler.
